My mom was complaining of some brake noises from her car. I verified this by driving and listening. Under hard braking, there is a high pitched groan noise as the car is close to stopping. I can take video and post it if needed. The brakes were checked out by a local lexus dealer about 2 months ago when the oil was changed. There is 50-60% life left on the pads.

Anyone have a copy of this? I know i can sign up for toyota's tech info site, I just dont have time right now to download everything I would want from it.


Car: 02 LS 430 w/euro suspension ~50k miles, purchased used about 8 months ago with 45k on the odo.

Took the ls430 in on thursday. The dealer replaced the pads (life remaining 80% front, 60% rear), resurfaced the rotors, and installed an anti squeal shim kit. Total cost $0...says here they did it as a goodwill gesture

I dont know...I am assuming my dad has checked it out. I should take the car for a drive since I am good at finding things like these. Will report back captain!
