After seeing one of the polished/chromed calipers over on the GS forum, I gave a quick whack at what I could do with mine. The caliper casting is reasonably even so taking it down was easy. Took the coarse stuff off with 100 grit then a quick over with the random orbital using 220 and then the de-burring wheel on the drill gave this finish. I'd probably be inclined to paint it black and leave the center rib polished.

Before the brake components weren't exposed but with these wheels, they are. I'm normally not one to fuss but the splotchy discolored caliper, just makes me cringe....ugh.
