Default LS400 Seat Interchange Info (95-97 fit a 90-94??)

Does anyone know which year models have the same seats? Actually interested in knowing if a 2nd generation will fit a 1st generation. If anyone has any information on this it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

No one seems to know the answer to that, I posted this same question twice, and even PM some of the Lexus know it alls, And couldn't find any thing. Short of getting a gen2 seat and mounting it in your gen1 I don't think there are any answers.

Default firm up the seat

Is there any way to firm up the bottom part of the drivers seat so when you corner the seat won't roll so much?

I Was going to do this in my 1st gen also, I'm pretty sure they don't bolt right up, if they do u would still need to rewire the seats to work. but if they don't fit making sum brackets aren't hard at all. Id say buy em because finding 1st gen seats without rips at a junk yard are rare....welll at least around here.....the back seats are another story tho

doing it properly/safety isn't easy or simple. the new mount points have to be able to withstand accident forces.

Ronald's 1st gen 1993 LS400 installing 2nd gen 1995 seats

YES, its possible to replace your beat up 1st gen seats front and rear and install 2nd gen seats.

What Ronald did he replaced the 2nd gen rails with the 1st gen rails and did some slicing to match the wires.

Before

Front seats

Rear seats

Swapping 2nd gen rails to 1st gen rails for perfect fit

good stuff, if the rails are interchangeable then it's a much safer deal (stick to 95-96 seats, no side airbags like the 97 and 98-00.)

what about the rears?
