Crazy dash lights in cold weather???
Can anyone tell me why my 94LS, only noticeably in colder weather, dash will not light up until several minutes later, then flicker and then finally stay on??
Very strange as it only seems to be common during colder days.
Also, any rec's on aftermarket O2 sensors and where to buy them? I have a few that appear to be out based on this forum's feedback with TRAC light and check engine lights staying on.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

CHECK THE FORUMS
This is a very cokmmon issue with the early LS's. It probably means that you have a defective capacitor on the printed circuit board. There are a few individuals on the Lexus boards that specialize in repairing other owners boards.
Lexus owners are very creative, and many have found a way to beat the "stealers" (dealers) at their own game.
By the way, the cost of a remaufactured dashboard display at the dealership is about 1000 dollars, and they will remove your board, replace with a new one, and repair yours, and have it ready to soak 1000 bucks from the next poor owner who takes it to the dealership.
Good luck to you...LOTS of help available on this one..

LS400 Dash lights
I am the new owner of a 1994 LS400 and I'm having the same problem with the dash display lights sometimes not working - hadn't noticed the correlation with the cold weather! I am also interested in hearing of someone who can help me fix the problem. (Live in Stockton, CA)
Also have a problem with the side view mirror not adjusting correctly.

Folks having the very common dash display problem should contact Jim Walker at jimlwalker@sbcglobal.net. Jim is located in Fresno, Ca.
He fixed the dash display on my 93 LS 400 about a year ago. The cost was around $200.00.
