LS400 Radiator Replacement
On my return from vacation, my 1991 LS400 welcomed me home by forming a crack in the plastic radiator fitting onto which the upper radiator hose fits.
Called the local Lexus dealer and was quoted over $500 for a new radiator (that they did not have in stock!) so I asked why I shouldn't go to an aftermarket company and get one today at less than $200? Their response, "We do it all the time..." and he gave me the name of the local dealer they use (I assume this is for used cars!?!?). Ends up the place was 3 blocks from my office (versus 10 miles to the dealership) and, 20 minutes later, I had a replacement for $160 ($360 LESS than OEM).
I searched the forums for step-by-step instructions on changing it but found nothing. Anyone with experience/knowledge willing to give some advice?
Thank you in advance.
