Default Lexus dealership troubles

Personally I had a bad exprience at a Lexus Dealership buying a CPO 2001 LS 430, and this sounds like more of the same from a guy who just wanted his navigation dvd upgraded. Yikes!

I have had the chance to work with a dealership in Wisconsin and 2 in Nebraska - undoubtedly the best of any that I have come across! At these dealerships customers are treated very well.

I would venture to guess the bad experiences are exceptions rather than the norm - even so, not one Lexus dealership should treat their customers any less than royalty!

You should probably try contacting Lexus.

Yeah, I've had nothing but great experiences at mine, but every dealership is different.

EVERYBODY makes a mistake now and then and it sounds like they just replaced his entire nav system and didn't put his (newer) DVD back in. Honest mistake, just take it back and say 'fix it'. If it's way out of the way, have them overnight it to you at their expense.

Not all Lexus dealerships have excellent service.

I have had some terrible experiences with my Lexus Dealership (Lexus of Manhattan).

Same here. The lexus dealer here sucks (Lexus of Fresno). Whenever I go buy parts, the workers there talks to you really mean. So far only one guy named Jerry there is really helpful and nice and he's the only reason why I go back to buy parts. If it wasn't for him, I'd probably be getting autozone parts.

Default Update

I finally got my 2001 LS430 back from the body shop today and it looks great. Lexus of Silver Spring is paying for it all. So in the end Lexus did the right thing, I just wish that it never had happened in the first place. A 3 year old car should not have rust on it, even if its only superficial!

Anyway all is well. Going to polish every swirl out with my pc this week, and Zaino in 2 weeks.

Autozone parts? Ewwwwwww. I will never ever put autozone parts in the lexus. They says lifetime warranty, but the parts go out every 3 months.

I've had several experiences with these types of parts and they all failed causing me lots more $$ to fix. On one A/C compressor, I had the Toyota tech disassemble it and he reported that there were several O-rings that were not the right size and that bearings were also incorrectly sized. That was a good lesson as I learned not to buy junk like that again. The price is tempting but in the end, you don't save any $$.
