Default those experiencing a mushy/soft pedal

I've seen quite a number of first gen LS400 owners complaining about a spongy/mushy pedal.
I'd like to know from them whether they ever got it to fix. If so what was their problem and what was their fix ?
I'm experiencing intermittent sponginess and pedal drops.
so far i've had the follwing changed:

Rotors, pads, front callipers, master cylinder, brake booster, traction accumulator.
at this point the only two things that are left are the traction and the abs actuators.
has anyone replaced any of the two actuators ?
i need some feedback on this issue.
thnx.

Default Mushy Brake Pedal - Fix

The fix is to change those 10 year old stock brake line hoses....replace them with Goodridge G-Stop Stainless Steel Braided brake lines (Part# 21012). You can get them from TireRack.com for all (1990 -1994) LS400; they cost about $127.00 for the complete set.

Make certain that you bleed your brake lines and replace your existing brake fluid with DOT 3 or DOT 4 for ABS systems...you can get it at your local auto supply store.

Go to Goodridge site for more information on performance brake lines that are better than OEM.

the OEM brake lines will not cause 'intermittent' sponginess. because the rubber of the lines won't flex intermittently. if the lines are bad or weak they would exert that syptom upon every push of the pedal.
that's just something that would give a better "feel" but not cure the problem itself.

Default Mushy Brake pedal feel

I had similar problems and after changing my line hoses the mushy feel went away. I also checked my brake master and pedal to make certain that the hydraulic pedal/spring wasn't lose or had any extra play.

Looks like the only thing left is changing the lines.

well that's not all that's left.
there's the whole ABS/traction system.
the dump valves within the abs actuators and the traction actuators.
i was looking for a deeper insight to this saga.
but i appreciate everyone replying.
