What fun would it be Modding our cars if everyone had the same taste. Passing on info for those that do.

I got to look at it up close........ the black wood one looks good. Maybe not the best looking but its one of the better of the 20 or so kinds they make. They didnt have any for my car but i did notice it said Celsior.

The OEM shiftknobs are not that great looking either thats why Im looking for something diffrent.

Not sure about the one from the U.S. but the one they have over here the box only had it fitting the UCF10/11. The wood grain looked good........ It shouldnt be to much diffrent from yours.

now do these have problems with the gears locking? I heard from the SC guys that the **** doesnt lock on to D (drive) and can be easily tapped into Reverse... also, they mentioned that the **** was plastic and painted chrome, poorly made, this true?

Default 90 LS400

They won't fit a '90 because the **** shafts are round and the 90 LS shaft is a large oval. I assume all first gens have ovals but not sure. I put a new **** on mine but had to take an angle grinder to it and cut down the middle of the shaft about an inch. Made a big mess. You can see where I'm pointing where the cut was made. If it comes out of gear or slips into reverse it's because the button isn't set right. I found a spring that was the right size to make mine work. While I was at it I took out the shift plate and installed a shift boot. I like it much better. I also removed the brake solenoid to let me shift into neutral without my foot on the gas. Not for everyone but it's what I'm used to. The shifter in that car was the ugliest part besides the front grill and the only thing making look old. This is a $45 ichiban (sp?). I wired my overdrive to always be on. I may put a switch on it in the future but don't forsee ever needing it off.
