Default Taller??

Neo,

I think any taller than this in a 18 might get you into trouble.... these are the exact same height as the stock 225/60-16s at 675mm high... actually these 18s are 673mm...

I am not so sure you could get too much higher without fender problems on tighter turns... the next size up from the 675mm height is to about 688 - 695 height and I think that you might be too big for the wheel well there... my tires just clear on turns....

Cheers

You have the car sittin just right. like to know how some of these members are getting the wheels even with the top of the fender. they have to have problems at least in the front when turning. unless they do it with a combination of offset and roll the fenders! I' ll have to keep that in mind about the height. cool:

hey Lexkost, looks like yours fills the opening just fine also, hard to tell cause of the dark color. did you have any problems hitting? and what was your drop if any? I was told i could go with 8.5" 245/45/18 in front and 10" 275/40/18 in the rear.

Persian...

My Celsior was used as a company car to drive around the Chairman and President of my company... 10 years ago that was the fad for the "executive look" I guess as just about every high end Crown driving a executive around had them - all the cabs do...

I bought this car last summer from the company when they wanted to replace it with a new 04 Celsior... I got an amazing deal on it and at first I hated the look of the mirrors and thought that the car looked like a taxi... certainly not VIP looking...

I have to tell you though I really like driving with them though and have gotten quite used to the look... To drive a big car like this here and not have to crank your neck around at all in order to look at all three mirrors is great... also to have them forward mounted lets you see exactly whats going on around you without any blind spot... I mean if you look at all the open wheel race cars out there IRL, Indy or F1... they all have forward mounted mirrors for the same reason....

I have contemplated taking them off a few times but the cost would be prohibitive from my research... After getting new aftermarket mirrors you still have to fix the mounting holes on the fenders and paint the car likely... so for now I'll stay with it....

The angle of the first shot does nothing for the look of the car with the mirrors on it so I will post this one as well... Not quite so hard to swallow in this one....

Cheers,

The mirrors really give it that Japanese look. I really, really like them on the Harrier (RX)

NEO- I thought you meant fat as in WIDE. I'm obsessed with wide rear tires. 375's anyone..err 335's? Too bad they don't fit the LS..
