Default 92 ls400 throttle delay

When I give my 92 ls400 gas it take about 1 sec before the engine starts to rev. Even on the road it takes from 1/2 to 1 sec for the engine to accelerate. Does anyone know what the probelm might be or is this normal. i read somewhere that it maybe due to the throuttle sensing somewhere.

I notice the same hesitation on my '94 LS400. It's just a very slight hesitation.

I'd be interested to hear what others have to say about this. i haven't mentioned it to the dealer because I doubt they would notice it because it is so slight.

I'm new to toyotas/lexus vehicles, but I would suggest checking out the throttle body. Assuming they are similar to other cars I am familiar with, I would suspect there is build up on the throttle body which make it stick for a little while then open.
