Unhappy Tail Lights

I don't know if this was ever discussed but the one thing i don't like or care for is when the tail lights are lit up or braking on my 94 LS-400! mostly when just lit up at night. what i mean is they are a great looking rear tail-light when off but i think they should of done something different or a better job when lit! i saw some great looking tail- lights on different US and imports but what really caught my eye was the one's on the new Cadillacs sedans, these are awesome. to me when a car has everything in style and curves the one thing it has to have is when you turn on those rear tail-lights at night and they are right on the mark. I agree with you that current car models have great looking tails, with all the LEDs and different fixtures (like beamers, MBs, newer Lexus models, etc.), but you gotta keep in mind that our cars are decade or more old...so you can't expect them to look as good as the newer models. But hey, at least they were the better looking tail lights compared to other cars of its year.

BR1AN, your'e right, they were one of the best looking at the time, but i wish there was some way that they could make them look like the new LEDs on some of these new cars. i just have this thing about tail lights and how they are so visual and make a car look. a lot of times this alone is the downfall of a great looking vehicle. but i still love my LS. Default tail light...DIFFERENT

Cut the wires to the inside parking lights so those fixtures only light with brakes. Helps the night-time appearance and give a more pronounced indication of brake application.

I love them as they are. They were great-looking then and great-looking now. It's a classic, timeless look and design. I like them better than any other, newer LS models.

I think the pattern of the lights on my '97 are blah. Especially the trunk lid section. ot really defined. Street Rodder has ads for all kinds of different sized LED configurations.

Hey joyous, did you try this with yours? i was thinking along the same lines but don't know if i want to really do it. like i said i love these just the way they are (unlit) but i wish you could put something in (like the ones from the New caddy display) that light up the entire top and bottom with that effect.
