new LS owner
Hello all -
Just purchased a pre-owned 1999 LS 400 - Black/Ivory, 37,950 miles, with every option but Nav (Nak, Hids, Htd seats, etc) - 1 owner (a local dentist's wife car traded in on a new Merc. S-Class) - It has all records since orig purchased and services up to date and done by local Lexus dealer -
any thoughts/suggestions for a new member of the club? (California Duster, Calif Waterblade, etc.?)

(btw, previous owner had bought an extended 3 yr warranrty from Lexus on top of the mfr 4 yr/50k mi warranty when he orig. purchased in May 99 as a new car - supposedly this goes til May 06 - can this be transferred?)

Congratulations!!
There is a 1998 (same as 99) Lexus LS400 for sale here locally with 78K miles for $22,000. Does this seem like a fair price? It is white, with tan leather and gold package.

Price sounds in the ballpark for an '98 LS 400 - About 13-15k mi per yr avg if 78k miles over approx 5-6 yrs
Most impt, ck for all books, serv records etc to verify history - Good luck!

if it's at a dealership you should be able to get it for 20k if private might be harder
