Interior Light Delay 91 Ls
Hi Ladies and Gents
Does anyone know where the interior light delay module is located on the 91 LS400? I recently shorted the cigarette lighter accidently. I replaced the fuse for the lighter but the interior light won't work on "DOOR" anymore. I don't have footwell or ignition courtesy lamps either.
Any ideas?
Cheers

Have you checked the switch on the door? The courtesly light switch that lets the car know if the door is opened or closed. Those have know to go bad on the 1st gen lexus and they will keep your courtesly lights from working if the switch isn't picking up that the door is open. You can test it by opening one of the back doors or passenger door since they receive less use and last longer.

Fellow problem-busters
The plot thickens. The door panel lights work and turn off when I press the door switch. The interior dome light works on the ON position but not on DOOR. I do not have any lights in both passenger and driver's footwells nor the ignition courtesy lamp. I've replaced all bulbs but the problem persists. It seems that this is something a little more complex. Interior light delay module or something else?
Spent most weekend stuffing around so am getting a little &*%$#?! off!
Ciao

Well now it is 2005 and I have the same exact problem. I shorted out the floor curtesy light while changing the bulb. Now I have the exact same symptoms!
I suspect the time delay module got fried. Any one BTDT?

Interior Lights?
Interior Lights Go Out , And Something About The Tilt In The First Gen Ls.
Mine Started To Act Up But Only When The Moon Foor Was Open.
Some How There Is A Multifunction Relay Switch That Is Above The
Rearview Mirror Just To Left. I Traced It To A Bad Window Motor.
It Took Up Lots Of Time And A/c.

Hi,
Just posting the solution to the interior light problem.
The integration relay is above the interior fuse panel. It is a $230 oem part. I took it apart and found a burnt resistor. It is a 1 ohm 2amp resistor (20 cents). Soldered it in and everything works.
This problem is rare.
Good luck everyone!

Rootcause: Door switch was a bit wonky on the drivers door, which must've overcooked the relay to the point where it drew 0,8 amps at all times.
Also the alarm randomly went off, and the courtesy lights had a habit of staying on for extended periods of time.
