Almost any battery will do as long as its 750 or more and you should get 60 months or more. Should last 4-5 yrs or more.

I bought one from AAA, it came with a 4 year warranty and works fine.

seriously? what if the terminals are on the wrong side? put longer cables on? cars have specific batteries for a reason. why would u put anything other than what is recommended from the factory? a group 78 will fit no doubt but has side terminals...u wanna put that in?

I have a 93 ls400 with a 1,000 watt rms stereo 2,000 peak and my battery is 600cca's and I'm having to turn the headlights and all accessories on to warm the battery for enough amps to overcome my worn starter solenoids and make a clean contact for a clean start. Also, on idle and even highway speeds when the bass hits hard my lights dim.

So I'm pulling a Tim the Toolman and getting the biggest **** Optima battery for the purpose Optima Yellowtop SC31DA 60lbs 2yr warranty 900 cca's and 155 min reserve capacity @ 25 amps.

I considered the Interstate MTP-24 for 1/2 the Optima price but I want the deep cycle capacity plus my stereo friends and battery dealer swear the Optima's are twice the battery. Hence 2x the price

I myself have had two defective Optima batteries. My experience seems to indicate their quality is slipping some... but maybe I just had bad luck.

The battery I have most recently gone to in a few of my cars is the sear's die hard platinum. It's also an AGM battery and I believe it's made by Odyssey batteries... maker of military batteries.

Anyways, my experience with them has been great and the fact they were the highest rated batteries in all categories for which they make a battery by consumer reports doesn't hurt... their high price however sure does!

I always get batteries at Sams Club, and Interstate is what they carry. FYI the last time, they told me to keep the receipt and even copy it because the print may fade over time, to use if it does not last the rated 6 years, (they have not lasted that long so far) and the receipt is then used to give you credit on the replacement.

Of course I meant if the fit, form, and function is the same. I was referring to most brands, but thank you for pointing out that trivia.

Any battery with at least 720 CCA will be fine. Anyone that has had a problem with a battery probably just got a lemon and that can happen with any product with any company.

get the battery that is made for the car...27f is what u need. why on earth would anyone put just any battery in a car when they are at the auto parts place buying a battery anyways? makes no sense....none!

Lol,, glad to see that at least SOMEONE is at least using the search feature.

I myself am using an Optima Yellow top, and honestly have had NO problems from it at all. The ONLY drawback is that they are reverse terminals, so I had to turn the battery around and is a little smaller in diameter than the original. All optimas have that plastic cover/stand which can be flipped over and used to prop them up a few inches. Even still the terminals wil just BARELY connect. All I did was simply cut some of the wire loom loose so the terminals could move a little more freely and that was it,,done. I have had NUMEROUS battery drain problems (alternators) with other related components and I can't count how many times I have had to recharge the battery however she still takes a full charge and holds/maintains, and is still holding, everytime. Not to mention, I have gotten lazy and no longer want to deal with the hassle of maintaining a wet cell battery anymore so gel filled it is for me. Considering the fact that my yellow is approaching the 5 year old mark with little to no signs of diminished performance, I am pretty happy with the investment I made for the Optima. Yeah, I too have read that some people have had problems with them. Luck of the draw I guess.
