HID retro Beam Pattern
Any body here have pics of the beam pattern from the 6000k kits Jason sells? What I mean is a pic in front of the wall. Some HID kits on the market dont lineup the focal point of the HID bulb to the same one on the factory. Thus creating a REALLY CRAP beam pattern. Also is there any glare onto traffic? Any pics would be very helpful. Thanx in advance.

I just looked at the HID bulb from Jason's kit and the standard 9006 bulb. The HID bulb capsule location is very close to the standard 9006 bulb filament location, at most about 1-2mm bacward. This means the HID bulb is almost at the focal point of the headlight hosing as the halogen 9006 bulb. The beam pattern shouldn't has too much a difference except the concern of glaze.

So to all of yall who purchased a kit from jason the beam pattern was very close to stock? How is the glare comeing from the lights? The pic of Brandons headlights shows super glare. Peaple are gonna be blined.

I think that there is no much we can do about the glare unless you replace the housing to OEM HID type. The OEM halogen housing is not designed to work with HID bulb (too bright when comparing with halogen bulb).

well, the cut off is deifntely not as good as stock hid, mainly coz' the bulbs we have are from d2s (also coz' of the reflective design), so some light will go up instead of down. what i did was to aim the headlight down a bit more than usual, and it's very good now. i never get high beam, and no one every complains

Thanx, The reason I ask is because i didnt know if I wanted the stock HID, to switch them out, an hid kit from jason, or to get x5 projectors and retro them in. At the moment I need a chrome trim ring from a e46 xenon projector to get the install to be perfect. It will cover the space perfectly between the projector ant the stock reflector. It also has the words XENON etched on them.

Alright Thanx Guys. If I cant find these beemer trim rings I guess Im going to get a 6000k from Jason. Ill have to get a kit either way whether it is a 6000k or a 4300k. Ill post pics if I get the projectors or the 6000k kit. I was going to paint the inside of the housing black and take out the amber if i get the 6000k kit. Well ill keep you updated.

NO they are not the stock projectors. I have aset of Hella 90 mm. They came off of a X-5. I need the bimmer trim rings from a e46 to fill in the gap. Im trying to get Q45 headlights but thats like finding a needle in a haystack. If I do either I will post some pics. Some way or another I will make something custom out of these extra GS headlights I have.
