question...need help please???
Hello...
I apologize in advance if this question has already been answered.....BUT>>>
Has anyone ever purchased (on ebay) the Xenon Glow Hid Headlights ( bulbs)? I have a 99 LX 470 and would like to replace the halogens with the Xenon lighting/look. Is it as simple as advertised....just change the bulb?
Thanks in advance for any help provided.

do you need to do any modifications to your existing lights or is it just a bulb replacement? In other words...if I purchase the bulbs you mentioned, will they fit in my 470 without the need for cutting wires or doing anything to the housing assembly for my stock lights? thanks

its just buld replacement, no rewiring or configuration needed.
Just be sure to swap out with the SAME wattage. Using a higher wattage bulb could eventually melt your harness or connector.
Check the owners manual to see what number bulb you need, or go to www.piaa.com and plug in your vehicle specs (year, make, model).
Then plug in your zip code to find out who has them in your area. Takes minutes to pop out old, and pop in new.
I can't help you on razao's web site, sorry.
PIAA bulbs are kind of pricey. For example, PIAA extreme white (9005, HB3) cost me $75 for a pair but the lighting in my opinion is worth it.
Whatever the brand, when handling the bulbs, wear clean rubber gloves or hold the bulbs with a tissue when putting them into the connectors. You are trying to avoid getting oils from your finger tips on the glass of the bulbs. This creates hot spots which means short life for the bulb.
good luck.

thank you both very much. You've been very helpful. The site says 9004 and there are three places within ten minutes from me to purchase them. The first bulbs I spoke about from ebay are about 10 bucks....I may wait to hear from someone who has used them before I shell out the $75 for the others. But, 75 is a lot cheaper than having to rewire because the cheaper bulbs burnt the wires.
Thanks to you both...
