How do you hook up the cable from the relay/harness to the battery. Is there a special part I need to get. Mine HID doesn't come with it, I was wondering how to hook it up. Thks for any advance.

You might have to do some crafty fabrication to get them to work. (drill hole for wiring, rubber gasket/tape/silicon for moisture control). That is, if they are like the 3rd gen ES300.

d***, i gotta do all that and some Opera S***. lol. What im confused about is the OEM Fog wiring. The H3 only have one wire going to them for power, correct? So to get power to the ballast you need two wires for powering it up. does that mean one wire with connect to the OEM wiring for power and the other wire needs to be grounded?
Yea i just updated my Sig. The only thing i havent done yet is the fog convo. Its been really cold in ATL lately and im not tryin to freeze my ***** or fingers off trying to do the install outside

You are right in that the H3 has a ground wire. For the HID install it should just be plug-n-play with the stock harness. (with a wiring harness of course). You should not need to ground the negative for the HID wire.
It should connect just the same as the lowbeam wires connect to their ballast. You will, however, have a problem with closing off the cap on the back of the foglight where the wires come out. Probably have to do some "Mcgyver" fix to it. At least, that is what I would have to do on my 01 ES300.

I install my hid today. I install the ballast in the fender. there is alot of room there. Its also clean and smooth to apply the double sided tape. my hid looks ok but I notic a different of tint between the 2 lights. the difference improve the longer I left it on. I bought from two different seller on ebay. I bought two for my friend here:http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/HID-X...4656QQtcZphoto.
I bought one for myself here: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...m=270108579117 their both exacty the same thing. with all three kits from different store they both came with a different ballast than what was in the picture. all three auction shows a ballast with built in igniter, but all three kits came with a chrome ballast with external igniter. return and warranty policy is very tricky where I bought mine from. I don't know what the note said in my friend kit. It work and it wasn't exactly plug and play. it still was easy. I will buy a next one for my foglight later

Wow what detail and great pictures. I can do this project just off your pictures.
I like my Lexus so much we bought another "L" an SC 430 and what a nice ride it is. Never want to get out of it. Let me know if you have any other good upgreades for this car as well....
Marin

I just put in an H3 4300K kit [Xtreme HID] in my '01 ES. I'll have to say that you have to be pretty crafty to put these in, it's not as plug and play as I would have liked. I will eventually post a thread that compliments NYC ES3's original thread, but deals with the '01 ES specifically and outlines ALL [and I mean every] little 'problems' you'll run in to putting these HID's in. I took an overdose of photos while doing this install, so it will take a while for me to put the thread together, so stay tuned...
BTW, NYC's post was extremely helpful, thanks for that one

I want to install HIDs on my '97 ES300. I was looking at the website the the OP bought his from and it looks pretty expensive at almost $500 for the conversion kit. I saw another website http://www.intensehid.com/5000k.html selling it for only $99. Is this as dependable? What is supposed to be the average price for a HID conversion kit? I'm only looking for the lowest temperature HIDs that will produce the least glare in my stock reflective housing. I would like to do a projector retrofit in the future, maybe using the HIDs that I buy now. Any suggestions?
