Default Review & step-by-step install of OSRAM 66440CBI D4S lights from The Retrofit Source

Hey fellow lighting enthusiasts,

I've had my OSRAM 66440 CBI 5000K HID Bulbs for about a week now, and I thought it would be fun to make a step-by-step installation video for my 2010 RX350 as well as provide a short review of the lights.

Review:
These lights just came out for D4S users and are available here:

The Retrofit Source was easy to work with and the bulbs arrived in less than 4 days. I put one in the passenger side first to compare to 5000K XenonDepot HID Bulb. First thing I could tell is that they are noticeably brighter than the old bulbs, which are actually already close to OEM brightness. The color is not yet 5000K and I am expecting the color shift to make that happen after 100-200 hours of use. So far I am very pleased with these lights as I was looking for 5000K for maximum brightness without the blue tinge.

Package contents: 2x individually wrapped HID bulbs, 2x alcohol wipes, business card, decal, & packing list
Tools used: left hand for install, right (dominant) hand for camera, paring knife to remove engine covers

Passenger-side installation:

Driver-side installation:

-Eric

P.S. No action pictures of the lights were posted since I lack professional camera equipment. Also the bulbs haven't color-shifted yet.

Nice. I upgraded my D2R to a D2S system with Night Breaker Unlimited 4350K. Osram's bulbs outperform all of Philips offerings (though not massively), which are good in their own right.

Make sure you aim them higher than the factory aim which is way too low.
