Default Headlight tab repair using airless plastic welder?

I searched and couldn't find anything on this.... has anyone ever used an airless plastic welder to repair a broken headlight support tab? I found a youtube video on this and it looks easy enough, but I was just curious if anyone has done this with any success? I know Sewell sells repair brackets and some have used epoxy (gorilla glue, etc...), but I'm just looking at all options before I try to repair my headlight.

I would even suggest PL Premium.... that some tough stuff. I've used that before, and it held great.

My only concern with PL Premium is that it says it's not intended for polystyrene, polyethylene or polypropylene. I think I might give JB Weld's Plastic Bonder a shot first. It has a strength of 3770 PSI and sets in 15 minutes. It's worth a shot for less than $10..... then if all else fails I can try the repair tab I ordered from Sewell or the plastic welder.
