3 Year Update on my XenonDepot Extreme HID kit
*I am not affiliated with Xenon Depot in any way, nor am I being paid. Just a very happy customer a few times over for the past years. It's a slow day at work so I am doing my recreational forum browsing.
It's been nearly 3 (maybe longer. It's been that long) years since I purchased my 3000K HID kit from Xenon Depot. At the time of purchase, I was looking for a reputable kit, and would not settle for something from eBay. I also wasn't interested in DDM. I always utilized Kaixen (still expensive even today) in the past and considered going back to them, but after reading stories from multiple sastisfied customers, I decided to ultimately go with Xenon Depot.
Ordered the 9006 3000K HID kit from Xenon Depot and haven't considered another brand since. Since then, I've purchased 5 kits from Xenon Depot and every kit has served it's purpose. My sisters IS250 for the low beams, and fog lights, my fog lights in my GS350 and now my new GS350, my dad's Tacoma for the low beams and fog lights. No bulb burn outs, ballast failure, faulty relays on any of my kits or anything in all of the cars.
Unfortunately, I did initially have a faulty ballast with my very first kit and Steve was quick to fix this. In fact, he called me personally on the phone to remedy the issue and within a few days, a new ballast was at my door step. Still remember the phone call to this day. Sitting in the library studying for my Chemistry Exam and a phone call. Will never forget this. He was very personable and I've never had this kind of service from any car parts vendors.
The kit that I have still has the larger ballasts, but it's still running strong. I was going to sell the kit and pick up a new kit for my new car, but after checking everything and seeing that everything works fine, I decided to re-use everything. I had some backup H11 bulbs that I ordered for my Dad's Tacoma and will use those. They are also from Xenon Depot. The kit has stood the test of time. Multiple blizzards and snow storms, major rain storms, weekly car washes and they fire up every time. Not a hiccup. I'm a satisfied customer.
Should you guys have a dilemma when choosing HID's, you definitely can't go wrong with Xenon Depot. Excellent product, excellent customer service, and very reasonably priced for the type of product that you are getting. There are cheaper kits, but you must realize that you get what you pay for. I wanted peace of mind and I get that with every HID purchase that I pick up from XD.
I'm sure other kits out there will last 3+ years, but can you say that you are 5 for 5 on successful HIDS kits going strong? I am.

tungo: Thank you so much for taking the time to post up feedback about the XenonDepot HID kit - after having it installed for so long!
It's nice when people post feedback when they first get the product installed, but it definitely helps when feedback is posted after the product has been been installed for so many years, and tested against the elements!
