Default OEM HID Help

Ok so I have a 98 GS400 with halogens. i bought 2 OEM denso ballasts with 2 "power connectors" and 2 6000k bulbs... i was wondering if anyone can tell me what else i will need to install the ballasts. i read somewhere that i would need to splice a female 9006 connector. I dont want to retrofit projectors if i dont have to. Any help would be great.

link for ballast and connector. wont let me save the picture from their site.

why didnt you just buy the conversion kit? if your car has factory halogens, why would you use an expensive OE ballast?

Well my main reason was the Denso ballast is way, way more reliable than any aftermarket ballast. Second reason being so i could have a clean install in the OEM spot on the headlight housing. But i got them installed. Had to get a d2s to amp conversion harness and they work like a charm no flickering, nice color, and quick warmup time.

I disagree about the longevity of a Denso ballast vs a high quality ballast. To each their own i suppose. But consider that you my have to get a whole different housing to accommodate the D2R bulbs and ballasts. The aftermarket kit is a simple plug and play. And if you want to get fancy with it so no one can see, just tuck the kit nicely.
