Question An easier solution to the "orange turn signal lens problem"???

Okay, check out this photo posted by MCV20 here at CL:
https://www.clublexus.com/photo1/sho...php?photo=3497

Notice that the orange lenses are obscured by some smoke-colored object placed over that part of the headlight! I never picked up on this before when looking at the gallery, but it would look to be an alternative and attractive way to cover up the orange lens w/o removing it via dremel/shattering/compressed air/vaccum... Anybody know where to get something like this?

Hmmmmm....

I see many of you looking, but nobody knows?

Maybe this is a cheesy/ricey solution to removing the oranges and nobody wants to come out and tell me that?

Com'on guys - I know that with the wealth of knowlege here that somebody's got an answer for me.

i think it looks kinda ghetto.....but that is just me. i think it looks better with the amber showing then with the smoke covers.

and yeah, removing the amber lens the way i did it sucks........i would not do it that way again.

You wouldn't do it that way again? I really liked the look of the end result on your ride Sho. You sure you're not just saying that to keep your RX unique over all ours?

I guess your right, the smoke covers are a bit ghetto - doesn't fit the class of the RX at all... I guess I just needed a day to think about it.

I guess for now I'll leave the oranges alone
