I'm a fan of the 5000k D4S bulbs over 6000k thanks to this review!

Guess I'm confused. What's the difference between buying the bulb itself which it sounds like you did vs buying their kit which is more expensive?

I'm guessing ppl like me whom have OEM non HID headlights would need the HID kit rather then then the bulbs?

Yes. You can only put HID bulbs in if you have stock HIDs or an aftermarket HID kit. You can't just replace stock halogen bulbs with HIDs - it's an entirely different system. So if you have OEM non-HID headlights, you would need the HID kit, which usually come with bulbs but also the other necessary parts, namely ballasts and wiring. I have stock HIDs for my low beams, so it was just a swap out of the bulbs. Installing an HID kit is a more involved process.

The color looks amazing, and the bulbs were fairly simply to installed...as long as you have a good DIY like I did. Thanks to Calvin for the DIY, and XenonDepot for the bulbs. I am now in the market for some leds to replace the lights in the sideview mirrors.

Hey,

Take a look at this link for some pictures of our Putco 194 LED bulbs installed in the license plate, parking lights, and puddle lights. There are also some great shots of our Lexus IS LED dome light kit installed:
