Default bright white bulbs w/out blue film?

anyone know some good bright white h4 bulbs that don't have the blue paint on them? I really like the piaa xtreme whites, but really dislike seeing the blue in the headlights from a distance when trying to take pictures or even seeing them period. Thanks.

Yep save yourself the trouble and go with a HID kit! Plug and play and 10X brighter and will last 10X longer!

Check out www.xenondepot.com as they have awesome kits and Quality is top notch! Get either the 4300K or the 5K kit and you will be very happy

Ya it looks like I may look towards HIDs eventually, but there's a few other priorities I have currently like finishing my subwoofer install once it arrives and still on the hunt for wheels with a large amount of lip on it.

If you have halogen reflectors, get HIR. Only problem, they only make em in 9006 and 9005 I believe.

My car is a 95 so they're just regular bulbs so I assume I wouldn't have halogen reflectors. How would I tell though?

Another vote for HIDs. The kits are practically plug-n-play.

Sorry if I confused you. Halogen reflectors are what the majority of cars on the road have. Just standard old headlights. I'm not sure what model you have (ES, LS, SC?) but I'm fairly certain that your car would have reflector housings.

HID kits are bright and great and everything, but they cause glare, especially if the headlights aren't aimed properly. Personally I would avoid them, but whatever works for you is important since its your car. If you do get HID, stick with 4300K rating. That's the whitest and brightest color.

Sylvania

Silver Star Ultra (SSU), if H4 is not available.

Go with the Silver Star's (SS).

They do not have blue film but do have a blue tint do not worry the light is brite white.

The trick is LUMENS count. SSU have 4100 lumens (standard HID is 25% brighter) and the SS has 4000 lumens, good enough for my old Porsche.

Standard blubs only have 3100 (that yellow tint) & Blue Filmed "HID" Look have only 3500 lumens ( most aftermarket manufacturers, even PIAA's).

If a manufacturer does not list lumens then most likely all you will get is 3100-3500 lumens which is crap.

I would try the SSU or SS before dropping good money for HID's. Just my 2 cents.

I just replaced my Lexus with SS's man what a difference, $21 each.
