Default Advice on what to do with these X5 headlights

I have a pair of 08 BMW X5 headlights

This is what they look like in working order

And this is what they look like on my table

As you can see right side is damaged

so i was wondering what are my options.

I would like to take out the projectors and maybe do a retrofit for my LS high beams but because of the broken glass, would baking them do any damage to the projector? Also there appears to be a lot of electric wires inside connecting HALO lights so would heat melt them too?

I am very new to this whole retrofitting thing but i really want to learn how to do this(to see how i melted my fog light go here https://www.clublexus.com/forums/ls4...fog-light.html) so i figured since i have a pair of headlights why not atleast try to get the projectors out off the housing first and see how that goes.

So if anyone would like to share their knowledge as to how i should do this please, any help is appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Baking is only a couple of minutes to soften the sealant, How long are you planing on Baking them? 30 mins?

If the glass is already cracked, why bother baking it, finish removing the glass/plastic no? unless you are trying to salvage the cracked glass/plastic.

I guess you're right, but these headlights are made in a very funny way. It appears they have screws on the inside holding the housing together

I think im just gonna use a dremel on the damaged one to remove the cover.

These things are huge. So if I take them out and they are too big for LS housing i'll let you know. I know for sure i have no use for the angel eyes, just need to see if they can be separated.
