You can swap the bulb to the other side to check if the problem follow the bulb or the ballast

i thought so too in the beginning, especially with the comparison of pictures of both beams shooting at the garage door.

it's actually the other way around. the range of the beam actually goes further than it did before with my halogen bulbs. also, i see the road A LOT better with the HID's installed vs. halogen.

so to set things straight, the HIDs do give better output than the halogens regardless of the pictures of them on my garage door. btw, they are 5000k

so you put HID's in a halogen projector? That would explain the output difference. not suppose to put hid's in a halogen housing whether its projector or reflector bowl. You may think you're getting better output, but in actuality you're not. it may be spreading further, but its less controlled cause of how the housing is directing the light.

If you are in SoCal I have some different projectors that might work.

What? so you are saying nobody can sell bulbs stating 4300K as the color but the patent holder? and who is that?

it doesn't seem to matter anymore since a lot of members here do the same thing. whether its non-hid projectors on IS's and SC's or bowl reflectors on GS's, people still install HID kits, not all of us can afford headlight retrofits. i'm just writing a review in my opinion for an HID kit i purchased from hidextra, hence the HIDextra.com hid review thread. i don't understand what your point is

Two of the six sets I've bought so far has flickering. Sometimes it goes away but I notice it. What is the solution to this? I know it's the ballast b/c I swapped out to another ballast and the flickering stopped
