HI,

Please understand that HIDs need the ballast to re-ignite the lights, so when you turn off the lights, you have to wait 30 seconds before turning them back on. This way it give the ballast enough time to cool and re-ignite.
Sometimes people turn off and on right away and one side doesn't get ignited correctly.

Thanks!

Michelle

Then i turned them off then on again and it worked. But other than that it seems to be working fine and hope it'll stay that way. Thanks Michelle!

With the kit installed, is the output of the light suppose to be brighter and project light farther? I have the 8000k bulb installed on my 98 sc400 and it seems to project only 10 to 15 feet, thats almost stock.

The higher the kelvin rating the less useable light there is. To get the most useable light output stick to ratings between 4300 - 6000, anything higher is for color preference.

yeah i understand about the light ouput, but mine doesn't seem to project far enough like others i see. some seem like theirs project 50 or more feet so they have better visiblity. with the kit, i dont see a major difference, projection wise.

The beam and distance would not change, it would be the brightness or the lumen that is brighter, so the HID should be 2 1/2 times brighter than halogen, can't be calculated by eyesight though. Thanks~

Hi Michelle,

What is your kit's max/peak current at ignition? I want to get a 3000k H3 kit to use on the fogs but wondering if the stock wire can handle it.

Thanks!

The ignitor is built in our ballast and we use the 35w ballasts

We don't have 55w ballast for the following reason

1.) 55w is only 15% more brighter than the 33w
2.) because of this brightness, it burns out the bulb and the ballast out faster
3.) 55w is 2-3 times more expensive than the 35w

Therefore it is not worth using or selling the 55w. Thanks~

Michelle

Still undecided... Should I go with a 6k or 8k kit for my 2005 ES D2S Projectors?

I love the blue look, but I want plenty of light on the road!
