Are you running relays to power these up? If not, then you should look into making one for it.

Did you upgrade the fuse to a bigger fuse size on it?

Rom, I installed mine the same way you did behind the crash bar

Mikal, I think it has relay its a Phillips 6000k 9006 Hid kit that come with everything

rgarjr, yes I uped the fuse to 20, I think it was 15

here are some pics of the install

**red cable connected to positive**

**red cable coming down side and ground connected**

** relay box I think **

**connected...and this has been put in the correct way with polarities matching**

**Ballast mounted right side**

**Ballast mounted left side**

what the heck can it be?!!!

OK....first...which fuse are you talking about?

The fuse with the HID kit? Or the fuse in the car fuse box?

Secondly, when does it blow? Immediately when you turn it on? A few hours after continued usage? A few months later?

it lights up fine ...no problem but then after sometime it blows the Fog Fuse (fuse box inside near peddles) but it doesnt blow while Im using them... I dont notice when it blows ...i notice when I see in cars reflections that I only have 2 lights instead of 4... i dont know whats going on ...this is %$#$ me off

has anyone heard of this type of problem

Okay so you have a new wirring harness for the hid fog's right? but you'r saying that the car foglight fuse brakes after a while?. Your foglight harness relay draws somewhere arround .5 amps so thats not the problem but I suspect you used high wattage bulbs before in your foglights? if this is the case the foglight wirring harness on the gs is not designed to carry anything above the 45 watt bulbs in the foglights. If you did use higher wattage aftermarket bulbs in your foglights before then you've most likely melted your wirring harness somewhere and you have an open circuit, hence when you first turn on the lights the fuse does not blow but when you drive the vibration makes the wires contact at some point thus blowing your foglight fuse.

So after it the fuse pops...you need to replace both fog fuses? What amp are they?

What amp is the fuse on the kit?

From your pics, my first suggestion is to keep the wiring dry with wire looms/heat shrinking wrap....it may be a reason for the electrical short.

Nah he said it happens constantly and its called an open circuit not a short , Oh plus he said the oem foglight fuses brake, that means the open circuit is past the aftermarket wirring harness since that harness has its own fuse which would be the first to burt in a case of a power surge.

you have to find the short/open circuit(same thing).the easiest thing to do is get a test light and substitute it for the fuse remove the original load which would be the HID bulbs. then turn on the lights, this should make the test light come on.now you have to know the route of the wiring for the foglight circuit. get someone to go along the wiring and shake it until the test light goes out and bingo youll know where the short/open circuit is at, it should be obvious b/c the wire will be melted or the covering will be broken

Yep, there is a part in your wirring harness thats gone to poop!. Honestly if you dont want any problems, get an aftermarket wirring harness and rewire it to the fuse box. This way you wont have to find the melted open circuit and either way your wirring harness is already damaged and the wires have begun to degrade. Once the wires start to degrade, the harness starts to pull more wattage due to higher resistance and this can lead to a fire. And NO I'm not over exedurating, I've seen this many times. If you can find the open circuit easy with a quick check of the wirring harness then I guess you can just patch it up and call it a day but I still suggest changing the harness if your ever going to use normal bulbs because they will draw alot of power and create alot of heat. Good luck.
