Kind of missing the point of this car, though 562 bhp from 4.8L (Nur Edition) sounds pretty potent to me. This car provides its lucky owners the most dazzling and complete driving experience that virtually no other car can provide regardless of power rating. At least one magazine has said it's the best car ever made.

I think they should have made a special edition where the LFA comes with the 5.3 V10 and make some benchmarking numbers since most people find the car not as fast as todays cars... God i hope they make another LF-A...
I think you read it the opposite way. The Code X chassis oversteers less than the standard LFA's chassis due to longer wheelbase. That makes the car smoother and more neutral in the corners.

The standards LFA was "too oversteer happy", which is what people like Clarkson loved so much about it.

BTW, LFA has been out of production for 3 years. The car design was finalized in early 2009. Of course, it would not be a fair comparison against supercars of today. Almost all supercars today wear super slick racing tires now.

All true. That is why journalists keep going back to it. Although, Nurburgring Edition LFA in production trim made 571 PS (563 HP).

I could only imagine how great it drives... I've never driven one only in forza . I know most journalist praise the car for being absolutely fabulous through turns, on the street, and the amazing v10 sound! I think I was getting mixed up with the recent super cars with the ones that came out with the LF-A (458 italia, SLS, GT3, gallardo, etc) Theyre all honestly around the same HP range... It's pretty insane how the horsepower wars is gettting pretty crazy...

Haha yea i did read it the opposite way... I was being gullable and I shud have known what you meant. Its not possible for more oversteer with a longer wheelbase(depending on weight distribution), reworked suspension, and racing aero bits! I kind of lost track of what years the car came from n sort of compared it to the recent cars...

Do we know where the LFA Code X finished in the SP9 class?

Thanks for the update. Very nice pictures.

The only two cars ahead of the LFA are GT class cars. Very impressive indeed. Hopefully, it will all lead to a very impressive showing in the 24 hours race.

Actually, LFA Code X competes in the more restrictive SP-Pro class (I think I might have incorrectly said it was in the SP9 class).

This is only a VLN race. It is normally 4 hours per race. It was the qualifying round. The ADAC 24-hours race will happen after all of the VLN series races are completed.

Do we know where the LFA Code X finished in the SP9 class?

It won SP-PRO, but not sure why it was only 15th overall. Must have had an issue or something.

Yes, very odd. Must be some tuning issues.

Are we going to be able to stream any of these races? That would be nice to follow it in real time and not on twitter or something.

Code X placed 18th overall in vln2 today. 2nd in SP-PRO.

Looks to me like Lexus is more testing and tuning for the Nurburgring 24-hours race rather than trying to win the VLN series.

It was a wet race for a period. So they were cautious. It didnt set super fast times but was competitive with an 8:25 vs 8:16's for the winning and 2nd place Audi's.

From another forum, heres the bop from the two rounds of the vln so far... http://www.vln.de/includes/download....erformance.pdf

You can see the LFA weighs some 1350kg and has a 31.1mm X 2 restrictor size. Much smaller than its gt3 rivals, and a good deal heavier as well.
