Exterior wise, it is no secret Audi has been very vocal about Honda copying the NSX exterior from the Audi R8 and everyone seems to agree on that.

Interior wise, similarities with the Lexus LFA interior are uncanny. Heck, even the seats looks identical and the carbon fiber exposed trim is in the same places.

I think it looks sweet! Doesn't look too similar but it could be that Honda knows that the LFA interior is one of the best for a super car so why not go in that direction.

Audi actually retweeted a persons comment about the Nsx looking like an audi lol

It's clear Honda used the LFA for inspiration and why not, it's regarded as one of the best exotic interiors ever.

Yeah, Audi is calling Honda out about this and being quite aggressive about it.

Regarding the interior, there is nothing wrong with being "inspired" and using some tiny details here and there. I agree that LFA pretty much has the best interior in all exotics today.

However, in this case it looks more than "inspired" as in a complete copy of the design. the seat design, for example is nearly identical. The first time I saw it, I thought it was the LFA interior until I saw the Acura badge on the steering.

I think you can also argue that the LF-A interior designers borrowed some design cues from the Porsche Carrera GT. Though I do think that it is somewhat similar, I don't think that Honda purposedly copy the interior. I tend to think these large manufacturers are better than that...but what do I know. It's great that Honda is finally stepping up to introduce a car to a market that has been mostly dominated by Lexus and Nissan (I'm talking about Japanese carmakers). Sports car as a whole has almost reached that mature stage -- if nto already. I'd be hard pressed if any designers can truly come up with a groundbreaking design.

Sorry, Porsche Carrera GT is night day with the LFA. From what I can see, not much in common as far the design architecture goes.

I am sure premise of your argument is based on the common waterfall center console, but Porsche Carrera GT was not the first car either to have that. It has been around for over 2 decades:

That is the biggest reason why I like the new NSX, b/c of the LFA-inspired interior.

Regarding the CGT interior-no offense, but that's pretty damn ugly for a $400k exotic.
Performance and exhaust tone-wise----damn awesome!

I'd love to own a LFA. But I'm with GS3Tek, 100k vs 400k. At least 100k is an attainable goal.

I dont get excited. Honda hasnt built a thrilling motovelocipede in almost 10 years. the last such car to come from honda was the S2000. Honda doesnt do "Fun" or "Exciting" anymore...
