A piece of information from Paul Williamsen of Lexus, great history lesson:
From October 1–4, 1966, a one-off aluminum-bodied 2000 GT 280A/I ran for 78 hours continuously on the Yatabe track in the Tsukuba mountains of Japan.
Drivers Hosoya, Fukuzawa & Fushida set numeous international long-distance speed records including the FIA 72-hour average at 128.76 MPH.
Someone in Japan has had their LFA painted BRG on Yellow to match the racing colours of the historic 280A/I.
