Great video

Thanks Dr. lunaC42

How long did the service take?

Your dealership clearly made every effort to do a top notch job

I really liked how they used the rollers under the wheels to perfectly position the car on the lift

Is there a reason why they're draining the old oil into the Mobil 1 container rather than the usual oil container?

GSteg

That was a reminder for another question to Dr. lunaC42, was the used oil sent out for analysis?

Nice video.

Lunac42: If you don't mind me asking, how much does an oil change cost on an LFA? (for comparative purposes).

No, one of the mechanics just hated to see it go to waste. he's gonna use it on his jeep. bet it'll run better than ever with "essence of LFA" infused in it...

no idea. the service manager hasn't figured out the bill yet. they have nothing in their computer system to invoice. original estimate was around $300.

that is because the car is too low to get the rack under if it was just driven on to the rack, not necessarily positioning, though it did make that easier...

at what mileage did you go in on for the oil change? and i guess you won't be going to quick lube for future oil changes j/k. that seemed like a long oil change. understandable though,,, they made sure they didn't even scratch a lug nut...

mileage was 3396. wanted it done at 1000, then 3000, but was told "no" by Lexus 'cause not due until 6000. had to have 1 1/2 quarts added at Laguna Seca; tech there said i really needed a change. so.... arranged it when i got home. no biggie, took about three hours for oil change/inspection. dealership did their usual awesome job! and i only let Lexus touch my babies.

so what's on the book thought, 6000 miles? just curious why dealership insisted 6000 miles but the tech at laguna said "really needed". it can't be because of that day on the track
