Spotted LFA #014 at SEMA yesterday. Wrapped in matte black.

Nice find Spinout

For clarification I believe this is the beloved prototype (not a production car)

correct that's the p014 prototype. it's not a matte black wrap, i think it's some kind of metallic wrap

So it seems that P014 is a prototype and Javier's LFA is the regular number 014? Is this correct?

i don't know what javier's car number is exactly, i think it was covered before in another thread.

but any car with pxxx, that means prototype. and iirc, lexus had two, the p014 and the matte black one, which was sent back to japan already

Yes, that's correct. Since I made my post in this thread back in 2011, I had the opportunity to visit Javier Qurios in Costa Rica. I didn't get to see his LFA, but he was a very gracious host. His collection of cars is extreme, to say the least.

I believe Quiros also bought the Sunset Orange LFA that was at the NOLA motorsports event last year.

Gengar, Does the LFA have thing that other exotics we all know doesn t have?
Sorry, I must have missed this post from way back in 2011 - sorry about that. I would say the big thing the LFA has over other exotics is the engineering quality and build quality. Everything from how the doors close to the door handles to the turn signal stalks to the paddle shifters to the wet/race/auto **** just feels so well-engineered. It makes every single thing in that car that I ever do as a driver feel super special, and that's not something I can say about most exotics I've driven.
