Well, I hope you are right. That would be a major spoiler.
The one plausible scenario could be, the race was actually 1000 meters rather than 400 meters (which they do many times do). Lexus LFA beats the GTR up to 120 mph and to the 400 meters or so and then by 130 mph, the better aerodynamics on the GTR start helping it pull past the LFA. 1000 meters race should see the cars hitting 160 - 165 mph.

The power wars final could be any of those cars, I don't think they're showing them in order- I've seen them fool people like that before. They would seriously spoil the drag race results if they did that. If LFA can launch right, it should beat the GTR, so why would the GTR be up against the Vette if it's the final? We'll have to wait and see, it could be that you're right Rolla, but I'm hoping you're not!

I don't think the aero is that much better on the GTR, it might not make as much D/F though. But if it's a production car and Kino is driving it, there should be some good speed in it.

Actually, Hattori was driving in the LFA in the drag race. I would have preferred if it was Kinosheita. Nissan says updated GTR has CD of 0.26 while LFA's CD has been controversial with the spoiler up.
Do you know how we could buy this DVD?? The Japanese Amazon site is no good for North America.

There used to be a subdsidiary or related company called Best Motoring International that released English-subbed DVDs about a year after the Japanese DVDs came out, but they haven't released a new volume in years.

From what was shown, it looks like the GTR takes the lead right away, AWD and l/c probably helped. Then it looks like the gt2rs and the LFA are catching it. Afterwards you'll see that the LFA passes the GTR for the lead right while they have the onboard camera shown of the GTR.

Still I have not been able to figure out how the drag races turned out. From the teaser, it looks like GTR first raced the LFA (LFA got half car length off the line) and ZR1 raced the GT2 RS, in which the ZR-1 won.
So when it says 'Power wars final' showing ZR1 and GTR, does it mean the winner of the previous two drag races meet in the final??
One thing I am quite positive about is that Kinosheita and Akira Iida have both raced the LFA for 24-hour straight in the very hostile and dangerous environment of the Nurburgring endurance series. He will most likely completely launch an offensive in this one.

Wow! AutoZeitung did a comparo of Turbo S PDK with the Nissan GTR '12 and it spanked the GTR badly in straight line and was a smidge faster around the track.
p.s. In the AutoZeitung SLS AMG vs LFA comparison, LFA hit 0 - 200 km/h (125 mph) in 11.3 seconds with a 3.9 seconds 0-100 km/h. So they got LFA faster from 100 - 200 km/h than the GTR.
Porsche 911 Turbo S
test weight - 1575kg
0-100km/h - 3,0s
0-200km/h - 9,8s
100-0km/h cold/warm - 33,0m/33,5m
Nurburgring GP track - 1:39,31
Nissan GT-R MY2012
test weight - 1772kg
0-100km/h - 3,1s
0-200km/h - 11,2s
100-0km/h cold/warm - 33,2m/32,5m
Nurburgring GP track - 1:39,62

The LFA has better power. AutoZeitung actually launched the GTR it seems. 2.9 to 60mph has been seen but 3.1 to 62mph isn't that far off- the telling part is the acceleration afterwards. If they used L/C for the LFA it should be even closer to the 911 in terms of acceleration.

Something wrong with what I said? I guess you're not getting what I mean, so let me explain it; autozeitung didn't use launch control on the LFA, so the acceleration was slower, if they did use it, it would have been CLOSER! I don't think that's an unreasonable guess. I'm not talking about 0-60, I mean to 200kmh. Gengar pretty much proved that AZ had better 100 to 200kmh acceleration in the LFA than the GTR.

True.
However, hitting 0 - 125 mph in just 9.8 seconds for the turbo S is pretty much impossible for most road car to match (except Bugatti).

Yeah the PDK and the Turbo S 997.2 is simply beyond words in regards to acceleration. PDK will likely go to the next GT 911s which will create faster cars but they will likely be less engaging and hopefully they still offer manuals.
Again the LFA doesn't offer a dual clutch to keep some character and rawness of feeling the shift. It surely hurts lap times in exchange for a more intimate experience (though its no manual). A dual clutch at speed is a rather uneventful thing, think CVT in a hybrid

I don't think Porsche has a choice but to keep manual in the GT3 series.
