Definitely congrats to the lucky owners of these fine automobiles! black seems so perfect for the LFA, but not really feeling the chrome rims. great cars nonetheless

So JoeZ, are you planning on architecting and designing a more free-flow intake system and straight pipes that makes the LFA much more menacing???

I think we know by now, these LFA's can be built just about anyway you like it

They Look Fantastically Amazing.. !!!

They are the Polished version of the Forged BBS Wheels...
(No Chrome Bling Bling )

Great to see ALL 3 different wheels options come through on the first set...

Official Wheel Color Options:

  1. "Buff Polish Finish" = Looks like chrome, Polishing probably done by hand

  2. "Dark Premium Metallic Coating" = Dark Gunmetal Color

  3. "Light Premium Metallic Coating" = Light Silver Color

Click the image to open in full size. The Silver LFA would have popped a little better with the Gunmetal Wheels.. !!

If given the RIGHT Opportunity or a Serious inquiry, YES I would...

Titanium Intake Tubes would be very interesting to make for the LFA ..

*** The real question is: Do you think the LFA Power is maxed out already??

Wow those are some great photos! Thanks for sharing. Black and white look good but the silver looks strange for some reason. Maybe its because we are so used to seeing the LFA in white, grey, and yellow. Also, I think the dark finish wheels would look better on the LFA.

I would love to hear it with straight pipes. It would be just amazing.

Regarding the power, I think it is still restricted from factory to meet emissions standards and could easily put out more horsepower. Since Yamaha has a huge involvement in development, generally their headers are extremely well flowing. Especially at high rpm, I believe there is much more power to be had.

LFA currently is putting out 115 HP/ Liter and has a huge rev band up to 9500 rpm to work with. I don't see who it could not put out close to 125 HP/Liter that some supercar engines can put out. That should put LFA's output over 600 HP +.

Anything is possible.....

We were able to get an extra 25 rwhp (to the wheels) on IS-F with my Intake Tube and a better flowing True Dual Exhaust system...
When combined with added headers, the IS-F has the potential to make an additional approx 25-30 rwhp... (to the wheels)
  • Total 50 Rwhp gains has already been dyno & track proven... by putting the IS-F in 11.91's, down the 1/4 mile @ 120 mph

I too believe more Rwhp can be squeezed out of the LFA

The questions are:

How much more? & Is it worth the try??

If Lexus is still doing lease only allocation, it wouldn't be worth it to modufy the engine imo. It's not really your car when it's leased. Heck, it's barely yours when financed.

25 - 30 whp gain is very impressive.

In the case of Lexus LFA, 25 - 30 whp would mean 55 - 60 hp at the crank, which will easily put it over 600 HP. I think it will gain much more than that with the straight pipes.

That is ofcourse, assuming stock production LFA is not underrated. I am really waiting and looking forward to seeing a production LFA dyno and how much it is putting down to the wheels.
