Also the 2011 revised suspension IS F was tested by C&D and it was 8.6 seconds FASTER around the track! Seems Lexus is really on a roll with the F program!!

yup, that's really awesome results.

at the same time, in some sense, it kind of shows how the isf wasn't very ready

I think the LFA was being updated throughout it's work up to production. At least that's what all the event details said.

I believe the yellow LFA is the best out of all the prototypes (except the few in Japan I don't know much about such as, the blue one etc.)

The transmission in the white European one has been said to be "clunky" and "groany" while the yellow LFA transmission is much "quieter" and also blazzingly fast on the upshifts.

It seems the white one doing the rounds in europe was one of the first there was. Someone mentioned b4 that they heard the pre-production cars were using fiberglass body panels. And that the production LFA's were to use carbon fiber manufactured or produced by someone other that toyota for certain parts of the body.

The yellow one makes the same tranny noises as the flat black/white/smoky granite one just FYI.

Hmmm...I guess they need to fix the groans and clunks before the production models are delivered.

Issue is in bookstores, I bought multiple There is so much praise on the LFA and some really great pics.

In my humble opinion I think the LFA would have finished higher had Lexus let them keep the LFA for the full test. They seemed very drained they had to let it go by lunch the next day and the write-up then focused on the other cars.

No crap, one guy said it was as special as the McLaren F1. I will try to write specific quotes.

Yeah, I put that quote somewhere in this thread. Chris Harris was the guy who said "there is not another car that has felt this special since Macca F1".

I have read the entire 40 pages since the scans are on the internet. Fabulously well written review.

I believe, it is written in the article that LFA finished 4th because Lexus took it back before they could even put it in a head to head track comparison.

Yeah, I'm sure Ferrari and Porsche gave cars with the most awesome tires they could install from the factory, give themselves an edge. Just like in the Nurb' tests, where the LFA had some bridgestones that weren't comparable to the 458's. Yet they still took corners just as fast. I read that it produces more downforce than any of it's competitors, whatever cars they may be.
