The GT-R has made many rethink what is truly performance oriented now, particularly since Nissan badged is as such and not an infiniti with a lower price point.

I think the LF-A will make everyone proud though, as well as place a Halo on the line like the SLR has done for Benz.

The "Top Secret LF-A" inspired by the Top Secret Supra. A PS job well done. A coupe properly sexy.

Well it does, IF the unofficial lap time of 7:24 is true AND the car is considered a production road car.

BTW I don't quite like that headlight design on the test mule. I'm still hoping they can somehow stick to the horizontally laid out headlights in the LF-A concepts, which wowed me with its menacing look on first sight.

I wonder if the rumors that Infiniti will be putting out their own version of the GT-R are true. They could easily add more luxury features, jack up the price a bit, and yet still undercut the LF-A by a substantial margin. It would be a great halo car for Infiniti as the LF-A will be for Lexus.

Not bad looking over all, but since day 1 I said I hated that rear end style with the vents on the rear corners and tri stacked exhausts in the middle. I still hate that design today. $170K is a lot of money.

If it doesnt beat the GTR in more than one way on the track, it'll be a failure for toyota.

1- It is. 7.24...only thing faster are race cars and kit cars.

2- If you followed the OP's link, you would see that they returned with 2 mules yesterday.

3- I think they already have the GT-R beat. If anything they have to worry about the V-Spec

yeah, design is subjective. I love that design and love that it is so unique (exhaust set-up). I've read that it is functional in that it uses the to top, or the bottom single depending on what part of the rev range it is and the throttle position.

I'm hoping it's closer to $130K than $170, but we will see how that works out.

They could just put a vacuum actuated valve in it like BMW. On my 330i, under low RPM one side of the exhaust pipe in closed off, and under higher RPM it opens up. From the outside it looks like a normal dual tipped exhaust.

If I had the money I wouldn't compare the GT-R to the LF-A for competition. LF-A has a NA V10 and the GT-R is a TT V6. Exotic versus insane DD/racer.

The mule has been running with these mirrors for a while.

It's unique.
Mods, can we merge this to the stickied LF-A thread.
