Default LFA Production / Colours

Hi,

I run a website which specialises in collecting production data on Nissan GTRs/Skylines and having recently purchased a Lexus I decided to see if I could collect data on the LFA which might be of interest for some people here. Firstly, I checked for LFA Registries in case this had already been done but didn't find any complete ones. Secondly this is the first non Nissan car I've done and to be honest I don't have any experience in the LFA (for example I didn't know there was 500 before I started researching this). Anyway I was able to collect the colour/interior/region code for 497 Lexus LFAs based on their last 3 digits of the VIN which I have put on this page:

http://gtr-registry.com/en-lexus-lfa.php

I don't currently have access to the Toyota Electronic Parts Catalog System program (the program, not a website!). If someone is able to give me a download with 2013 or newer data I think I could improve the data a little more. I've spent several hours searching the internet but no luck (without having to pay...). I've also tried getting help on FB with info on LFAs and Toyota EPCS but no luck at all. With the current data I'm not able to distinguish the Nurburging cars. There's a possibility I could do it with access to the program.

In regards to the VINs, Japanese VINs are correct and Europe LHD + RHD and USA are hopefully correct (they are estimated based on all of the VINs I was able to find so far). Middle East (GCC) car VINs are possibly incorrect. If anyone knows of a GCC VIN please let me know that would help a lot.

If anyone is able to help improve this data I'm more than happy to give credit on my website. Any feedback is welcomed. Feel free to reuse any to all of the information on the link above with credit to GTR-Registry.com.

Cheers,

Mark

Awesome job Mark

I was first surprised to see a second pearl brown car

The first one went to Herb Chambers, a big Boston dealer.

It was specd with an orange interior and got some bad responses.

A guy who worked for him said some unflattering stuff related to the car and needed a new job.

The car was sold soon after that.

The other surprise was the large number of regular orange cars, particularly for Japan.

Like I said in my post if I can get access to Toyota Electronic Parts Catalog System program I'm pretty sure I can work it out, if the program is anything like Nissan FAST. Basically I'm guessing I can lookup known nur and non nur cars and find differences in part numbers. Then I can automate entering VIN + searching for parts and copying which have x part and don't, and working out the nur cars from there. I've got fairly good at the automation over time so most things I can do fairly easily. Since there's only 500 even if I looked them up manually and it took 30 seconds/car that's only 4 hours work...

So any help in sourcing the program would be great

Everything (and there's a lot) on my site can pretty much be found elsewhere online. I just collected it all, put it in to an easy to search database and worked out build numbers and options from there. I've even put the links to all of the sources if you look around the site

Nice car too

Also if anyone can contact flipside909 and get him to message on here or FaceBook (https://www.facebook.com/GTRRegistry/) or knows his FaceBook I'd like to talk to him since he was doing a lot of the registry work here but doesn't seem to have logged in since 2015.

Awesome job! Love the level of details, as an LFA fan it was great to see an inventory of LFAs and the details.

For reasons I'm fairly certain that you know, I'm going to wager that this information is not going to be readily available even at most internal levels at TMC.

So whitest white wins the popularity show with 156, followed by black at 60 and pearl white with 58.

Correction, there are 3 pearl brown cars.

13 folks forked over the $30K (or whatever it cost ex US) for the matte black finish, of those 9 went to Japan.
