You can see the LFA weighs some 1350kg and has a 31.1mm X 2 restrictor size. Much smaller than its gt3 rivals, and a good deal heavier as well.
Nice find. I wish LFA Code X could compete in the less restricted class. It has the potential to annihilate the GT3.

New 24hr bop table is out, LFA air restrictor size increased by .5mm; from 31.1mm X 2 to the updated 31.6mm X 2

Good find. Wish they published the horsepower figures. Looks like LFA will go head to head in its class with the GT3 R Hybrid. Should be interesting.

Thats not a Hybrid. Its a modified GT3 RSR it seems, run by Manthey racing. The LFA had its restrictor size upped, while the GTR GT3, R8 LMS GT3's, and Bentley GT3 all had their's reduced. The SLS stays the same but gets a 10kg weight increase. No change to the Z4 GT3 or the Porsche's, including the one in SP PRO. So hopefully the LFA can qualify in the top 5 or 10.

Thanks. So I assume bigger restrictor diameter means more air through inlet, which in turn means more power?

Yeah. Maybe +/- 10hp if they do .5mm increase. Id say theyre putting out around 475-490hp. The GT3's are making 520hp+. Maybe the size of the LFA's engine is reason its restrictors are smaller.

The LFA overall placed #14 (down from #11 last year), but it won its class beating out the Porsche 911 991 GT3 RSR.

The IS-F CCSR placed overall #59 and RC 2.0t #39.

It could have been top 10, but it had a 20+minute delay in the pits for rear damage. Still a great finish. No one touched it in class.

Thumbs down

I'm so SICK AND TIRED of this "best in class" BS year after year when there are only like 3 cars in the said "class". Even Nissan has now a GT-R in the top category and managed a top 10 finish this year! With Lexus stating that they are not making more LFA variants or an LFA MKII anytime soon, there is absolutely zero reason to keep the LFA in the more restricted classes and not compete in the top SP9 GT3 class for the top glory like Audi and Porsche do every year.

Seriously, nobody outside of diehard Lexus enthusiasts cares if the LFA is "best in class" or even the "best of the non-SP9 GT3 classes". The best of the losers is still a loser. All everyone knows and talks about is how the Audi R8 WON THE RACE yet again. And I know the R8 is in no way a better car than the LFA. Come on Lexus/TMG/Gazoo Racing/Akio Toyoda give your team a proper budget and freedom and mod the hell out of the LFA and actually WIN A RACE FOR ONCE!! Is that really too much to ask!!? It's going to be one of the world's biggest tragedies if a car as meticulously engineered as the LFA goes down in history without a single title to its name, and it's all only because you don't even try! You are only wasting all your money if you don't aim for the top. You can't even promote your brand or your other cars in your marketing campaigns with this "best in class" BS. Might as well save that money and not participate at all as it's utterly pointless and fast becoming a joke at this point.
