Default Best cars of Evo: Ford GT vs Ferrari 458 Speciale vs Lexus LFA vs 911 GT3 RS vs Megan

LFA received yet another top honors. Lexus LFA is included in the "best 5 cars of the last 200 editions" (last 16 years).

‘Nothing is quite as bewitching as an LFA, is it?’ gushes Jethro. ‘From the meticulous construction to that inertia-free V10, it just feels special.’ John concurs: ‘Fascinating thing. Very cool, partly because it’s sensationally rare, but there’s also a real sense of occasion when that V10 fires up.’

Ford GT vs Ferrari 458 Speciale vs Lexus LFA
I'll take one of each thanks. Gulf Livery, Rosso Corsa and Whitest White respectively.

Since their pick was the hardcore version of the 458 called 'Speciale' over the standard 458, I believe they should have picked the LFA Nurburgring Edition over the standard LFA.

For sure I thought the Ferrari would win, but the Porsche surprised me. It's one of my top favorite cars of all time!!! They should have thrown in the 4.0L.

Definitely, a UK spec car. My guess is, it is a UK customer car.

I have been fortunate to own both the GT3RS and the LFA and I can honestly say they are both great cars. However, if you just want to run it around the track, I can understand their choice of the RS; the LFA, while fun on the track, is more in the grand tourer tradition and more suitable for varied uses, in my humble opinion. It is far more flexible and enjoyable in my opinion.

Guess that is why I sold the RS and still own the LFA !

Thanks for sharing your thoughts.

While LFA is loaded with a lot of luxury, the GT3 RS is stripped down to the bare knuckles (even down to straps for door handles ) complete with racing slick tires. The experience must be of a hardcore all-business car.

Still, LFA in general without racing slick tires and with loaded luxury and carrying more weight, could lap faster than the GT3 RS in almost all tracks. The 120 additional horsepower and automated transmission do play a big role in achieving those faster lap times.
