Yep, a reasonably priced super car, that's what Lexus doesn't have ... at least for now or the near future ......

All the talk about pricing, is pure speculation at this point.

There is no official detail available on the pricing. A few years ago Honda said "over $100,000", but that was a few years ago.

Though, it will not be a carbon fiber supercar nor will it have anything close to a big V10 in it, which would help in keeping the cost down, still it is too early to say what the pricing will be.

It won't be near the LFA, that's for certain. I expect near the R8 4.2 in price.

But by the time this is out, the RC and LF CC will be out. Along with a new GT-R, R8 yadda yadda. And I wonder will it not being built in Japan be a point with buyers.

When Lexus copies or is accused of copying, we get 800 page threads.

I have spoken with 4 dealers in the Chicagoland area and they believe the car will be on the street in late spring of 2014(seemed overly optimistic but that would be nice)
No one had pricing but an Acura exec recently said it would be more than a GTR so $120-130k should be a safe starting point. If they offer multiple trim levels (krelll audio like the RLXbeak has) maybe we will see something north of $150k (speculation)
The next key date is the dealers meeting in August, after which they should have most if not all the details needed for prospective customers
Pretty funny that one dealer is already willing to take a $10k deposit, another can't start a list, another has a few folks on the list and the forth said I am the first to call about the car.

I don't know.. it's a tough call. Steering wheel looks different, door panel designs are different, speakers in different location, dash is nothing alike, LFA's HVAC vents are rectangular while the NSX's look like they were taken out of the Civic recycling bin. About the only thing that looks the same is the center arm rest leading up to the dash.

But the LFA interior wins because it exist in a car that's actually running

Cool, thanks for passing along the info. We'll see if any of the dealer's estimations turn out to be true.

BTW, I was bored and suffering from insomnia tonight and found an old post of mine on another forum in 2005 in which I said I might buy the new NSX if it wasn't a hybrid. Again, 2005.

Well said. All manufacturers copy from each other. They even take apart each other's cars in their own research labs. I've seen it for myself recently. It's amazing how detailed the teardowns get to but it's a way for all manufacturers to be innovative and learn off of each other. I dig the new NSX concept's interior. Not so much the hybrid part, but i'm sure Honda isn't going to screw this important car up.

Guys, leave it alone for now - it's just a concept. The car will be changed 20 more times before or should I say if it will ever see production. I agree that the center console looks similar to the LFA's but look at the first NSX's center console, it doesn't look that much different plus the NSX Concept doesn't have the wierd vertical dashboard.

The NSX 2.0 concept kind of looks like the R8 but so does the MP4-14C.

Leave Honda alone

Sheeshh...who cares???

This is a Lexus board and there is absolute corroborative evidence regarding Honda taking cues from the LFA interior. It is an open discussion and within the realm of freedom of speech.

Afterall, you are talking about those Honda boards where it is not an uncommon belief that a '02 NSX-R can kill an LFA around the race track (no matter how ridiculous this sounds, I have seen it myself).
