nice one..but to be honest i really dont like the design look of it. It doesnt make me go WOW. But yes the engine sound and interior and the digital gauge look is awsome. But the exterior is just not amazing. Now compare that to lets say audi R8 or lambo or porsche. Now they have great design to look at. Not the lfa.
what you guys think

I just wish Lexus just finally stops dumping LFAs to US (which inevitably end up in dealership). When is that day going to come???

To answer your question, it is all about originality. Function over form. Design language that is completely original is either love it or hate it. That is the nature of the beast.

Most of those other cars you mentioned are cookie-cutter, generic formulaic designs basically cast out of more or lress the same mold. Recently, while with my office colleagues, we saw an orange Mclaren MP4-12C entering the parking lot and 4 people with me thought it was a Lotus Evora. Most of the people have difficulties telling difference between an R8 and a Audi TT. A Ferrari F12 design has been criticized for looking like a coupe version of the Ferrari FF station wagon. Porsche 911?? Well, enough said already as far as "uniquneness" goes.

Atleast, Lexus was original in its design giving it a signature design that cannot be mistaken for anything else and it is purely subjective and the presence it has and attention it commands on the road when it appears simply has to be seen to be believed.

All I know is, if you can get a cynical and habitual Lexus basher like Jeremy Clarkson to declare LFA "just stunning both inside and out", I say the design was a slam-dunk on Lexus' part.

^^^ So true. This is the second one the dealer purchased with hopes to sell. Very few went to private owners, I'm afraid to say. And yes, both Clarkson and Jay Leno both loved the LFA after driving it, being cynical prior to that.
