Man, I so wish Top Gear USA had been hosted by Jay Leno. It would have been so much more interesting than the plain awful and bland presenters who know nothing about cars and seem like they are reading a script (especially, Rutledge and Ferrera).

Reflecting on the video, I get a stronger sense that the LFA platform was designed to support a convertible model.
Jay was blasting around on this one off and never pointed to an issue like body flex or any noises typically experienced in a poorly executed convertible issue of a coupe.
Also, I believe in previous videos, a CF roll bar was present. Any ideas if this was remove able, retractable or is there another LFA vert out there?

A few things I noticed:
1 - Jay Leno was blown away by the grip of the LFA. That was thanks to the Nurburgring edition Potenza RE70 tires the Spyder had been transplanted with (including the wheels from 'ring).
2 - It is great to add Jay Leno as someone who was thoroughly impressed by the transmission of the LFA around the race track and its mechanical efficiency and downshifts (that includes the maestro Tsuchiya San).

Badge number
At around 5:35 mark, the badge number was visible, but I could not quite made out what it says.
Is it R001? if it is, what is the significance of it?
See the snapshot for yourself

"P" is for prototype... For example the us still has the Pearl Yellow Badge # P014
Also, here is a better shot either way ....
