but at the same time i guess it also depends on price. if it's going to be north of 500k, that's a whole different story and not necessarily something regular lfa owner would just go like that and say switch
If they said this car would be 500K +, it might have the reverse effect to speed up the sales of the regular LFAs, because they might now seem like bargains to be such close relative to this sub 7 minutes 'Ring monster.

umm, could be. though looking at the whole exotic market i am not sure if that would be the case

x 2

I think it is adding more depth to the line up and most likely it will be north of $500K and probably only 50 - 100 copies. However, I wish Lexus had put down a proper lap time on the standard LFA since so many people make a wrong assumption that the NE edition is a lot faster than the standard LFA when it is only 7 seconds slower.

Ahmm..bragging rights....ahhmm

On a serious note, I heard Junkie Yoshida in a video bragging to his passenger that his LFA can hit 60 mph in 3.5 seconds so I think it does matter to them.

I am sure it'd be something to talk about when they get together, but I believe you're right about not high on the list of selection criteria.

I think 5 is too low for so much R&D. Since the exhaust is routed differently, I can bet it will have a different design in a few places as well especially in the rear.

I think the 50 Nurburgring Edition is included in the 500 LFA count.

For some reasons, this is what I've thought of the 'Ring edition, so I did not go for it. However, this car seems significantly better than what is in production right now, and therefore has my complete interest. The price would probably be very high and that might be a turn off.
Btw, Lexus told be that they would have buyer for my allocation if I did not longer want it, because I was thinking about buying an US unit and keep it at my Florida home.

BTW, next month a white Nurburgring edition is due to arrive in Calgary, AB. Maybe, you can try your luck at that one (not that I want to since I would like that white Nurburgring edition to stay in Calgary).

I think the price tag on the AD-A would be quite hefty and they would market it as the ultimate Nurburgring racer that is faster than any production car on that track.

I agree. I think this seems something in addition to the 500 LFA and LFA NE. Lexus would probably reveal the details some time this fall since it is still undergoing testing and tuning so it still has quite a ways to go before the product is finalized.

I'd probably be bankrupted and divorced if I did that. However if this AD-A become reality, then I would try to swing it. Maybe I should back out of my order now just in case...

gr, if you can get out of your order and get a guaranteed slot for the ad-a, or whatever it is called, I would encourage you to swing it.
