That's NOT from VLN3. That 'crash' was in VLN1 race where the LFA dnf'ed. I'm trying to find the regs for the LFA in this year's races. They're about 20-25 seconds faster than last year's races. They're FASTEST lap was 8:25.xxx in qualifying for VLN3. Last year their best was around 8:50.xxx

I will be following it closely.
After 2nd place last time, looks like the Gazoo team is going after the winner 458 Italia in the SP8 class. Hopefully, this time there are no accidents.

Gazoo will be racing in VLN 4 soon, I'm excited to see what happens! Rolla, do you know if they will be streaming this online? I want to watch it if it is possible.
Btw, there were rumors near the end of last year that the LFA will attend Le Mans in the GT1 class, anybody have updates on this?

That sucks.
I am not sure if the video would be streamed online. I usually use the Gazoo website to check for updates.
Does anyone have the SP8 class Ferrari 458 Italia specs??
The LFA is heavily detuned and has restrictors for the SP8 class so I am wondering how the 458 Italia detuning compares to it?

Gazoo had two LFA entries in VLN 4 today, but one of them (Iida/Hiroaki's ride, which actually qualified faster) didn't even start the race for reasons I haven't discovered. The other LFA won SP8, but there wasn't much competition.
For some reason, there is still a GT3 R running as E1XP, and it won the overall. Not sure what the difference is between that GT3 R and the SP9 versions.
The next VLN is on 6/11.
It's a Ferrari Challenge car. I don't know the actual specs, but it's the Hankook/Farnbacher team so lots of experience in endurance racing.

Gengar, figured it out for ya,
Sucks to lose LFA 111 on the first corner.
In the final hour, the LFA was in 15th position and was leading SP8 class by 2 laps. And as far as I can tell, they were at least as high as 13th overall position.

If you watch closely, it was actually a Z4 that "pit maneouvered" Lexus LFA using its left front side. The LFA spun to the right till it was 180 degrees.
Did he get penalized for such a hostile thing?
So no one knows what happened to the 458 Italia that was going to compete in the SP8 class.

The 458 is close to the GTE(GT2) car that races in ALMS and LMS. Not the 'challenge' car. It's as competitive as they come too. Good team, as fast as GT2 cars like the BMW's. There's another race on the 11th of June. Hopefully a good showing from both LFA's.
