Saw this, wanted to know what the lap times the LFA ran. Haven't found out yet.

Crazy to think Lexus has built something at this level of performance before BMW which has nothing remotely close...clearly best in show there

From other boards, even BMW forums, they agreed with you. There was a comment that it looks better than the murcielagos that were there.

BMW had the M1, which I think is similar level to the LFA, but that was 30 years ago.

That is true. So you are saying the M1 should be consider as a Lambo instead of a BMW?

You think we should call every car by who actually built it instead of who sold it and what badge it has?

So the 1995 Benz E500 should be consider as a Porsche instead of a Mercedes?

Bentley Arnage should be a Rolls?

AMG SLR should be a Mclaren?

BMW Cooper?

Mercedes Smartfortwo?

Toyota Tc?

Toyota LS460L?

Toyota LFA?

How do we deal with which brand own who and platform sharing? What about who actually is the developer?

Should we call Ferrari a Fiat?

VW Veyron?

2011 Mercedes Grand Cherokee?

Mercedes Pacifica?

Chevrolet H2?

AMG Mclaren Viper?

Senna NSX?

Maserati Chrysler TC?

Should the F1 be consider as a BMW then? Or it should be M Motorsport GmbH F1?

Or should we call every car by it's designer? Gorden Murray F1? Or maybe it should be who actually call the shot, Ron Dennis F1?

Luca di Montezemolo 458 Italia?

Akio LFA?

Or should we name them by the country they are built in?

I am all confused now I don't know how to classify each car?

Ok I got that point, I just don't know how that fact have anything to do with what I was saying.

1SICKLEX said BMW never had any product at the LFA level.

I said they did, is the M1.

MR_F1 said the M1 should be consider as a Lambo.

Is that mean I am wrong to say BMW had a M1 that is at the similar level as the LFA because the M1 is actually a Lamboghini? But the M1 got a BMW engine/tranny and all mechanical though, only the chassis and body was made by Lamborghini, but the final assembly was done by BMW.

I guess because Lexus/Toyota (same company) did EVERYTHING for the LFA, while the M1 was helped by Lambo, so it shouldn't be considered a 'true' BMW supercar or, their OWN? I donno, just guessing.
