The article quoted brought up the subject as will 90% of other articles. there's a reason why.
And last I checked... My or anyone's opinion is just as sound as yours.
Supercar or Exotic, the GT-R is what it is... proven and superb.

No doubt the GT-R has supercar performance. It is no exotic/supercar. Its built in the same plant on the same assembly line as Skylines (G37s). I love the GT-R, always have and it is simply amazing for the money.
It like the ZR1 offering supercar performance for a price that cannot be matched.
Please see the caption below.

Who is debating, well you are, by implying that Japan's supercar is the GT-R.
The GT-R is what it is, and the LFA also is what it is; exotic, exclusive, and on a totally different level than the GT-R. It's reliability has been proven on several occasions already. We've seen a hint of it's performance with it's record-setting Top Gear wet lap time. When the LFA enters production, we will see more proof of it's performance.

GTR = Japan
GTR ≠ Supercar
GTR brings great performance aspect to the table for an affordable price, built for a mass audience with a different calling than the LFA.
The 2 cars have no reason to be categorized with each other besides the fact that they came from the same country. It is only because Japan doesn't churn out many super high performance production cars so when Japan does have a couple, they are always brought up in the same topics.
I know the LFA v GTR discussion will never be over but I hope people do realize this at some point.

LFA Track Package Information
There was a recent article mentioning two gentlemen in Asia putting down deposits for their LFAs.
The article mentioned a "track" package.
Here is the US version of the "track" package info fresh my inside source.
"Nurburgring Package:" A "track" package will be available that includes a fixed rear wing, larger front spoiler, sports tuned suspension, high grip tire, +hp (10-15??). $70,000 cost. My understanding is that the idea is to replicate the Gazoo Racing LF-A which raced at the 24hr at Nurburgring. This will differ vs. European vehicles which will receive fixed carbon fiber seats (don't meet US standards) and full carbon fiber door trim. No change to 0-60 or top speed. Still waiting for the final hp numbers and marketing name.

I am curious if there is a weight reduction in the "track package", and interesting that no change in 0-60 or top speed.

Same color scheme as the IS-F CCS Concept . I think this might be signalling something .
I want to see what the interior of this "Nurburgring" package looks like.
Also I prefer the stock LFA rims compared to these.
