Thanks for all the news and info! BTW, regarding Battle of the Supercars, it might be a redux of the Tanner vs. Foust IS F/M3 thing, as this preview indicates with the R8 having better numbers on some tests (pre-production/better driver/who knows/etc).

I would not read too much into it. There are 5 total tests and he is talking about 1 test only. 0 - 100 - 0 mph.
If you look at the video, LFA was leading the R8 by 3 car lengths in acceleration in the 0 - 100 - 0 mph and I don't think the R8 can out-brake the LFA. I could totally see R8 get off the line quicker due to AWD, but as soon as LFA hooks up, it's gone. That is what the video also shows since LFA was leading even before 100 mph.
It also says LFA reached a higher top speed of 185 mph in the flat out test so that means LFA definitely won the flat out test. I could see LFA winning the roll-on acceleration test easily and also the standing mile race.
Around a road course, if Tanner can truly drive, there is no chance R8 can beat the LFA especially in a large circuit like they have.
I would not relate this to the IS-F vs M3 it is completely different since here the R8 is the underdog and everyone is expecting LFA to win.
I firmly believe LFA will win. Maybe, not a clean sweep, but definitely most of the events. I think this could be Tanner's revenge in a Lexus against Paul.

I don't think Tanner knows his stuff as much as Tracy. Tracy still does Indycar from the last race I've seen (couple weeks back). I don't think he's faster than Tracy. Tanner is a drift guy, not a grip guy. LFA topped at 185, that aint bad. I wonder if this is the 2 mile run or the one mile run. 0-100-0 looks like it might go to the R8 by the video, Tanner just doesn't slow the LFA down fast enough. As soon as Tracy hits 100 he's on the brakes. In other episodes Tanner lags, he'll go to 102 103 then stop. Tracy see's 100 and he's on it.

I agree. LFA was leading the R8 V10 by 3 car lengths yet, he started braking right when R8 started braking. He hit 100 mph far sooner than the R8 so he SHOULD have started braking much sooner, yet he did not.
Disappointing!
From what I remember, ZR-1 hit 180 mph on the 1-mile and Viper SRT-10 hit around ~170 mph.

The one thing I can tell is that they are not biased against Japanese cars, for sure.

no kidding. reading the m3 vs isf show (on both forums) have been a lot of omg to me. i really look forward to this show on the r8 and lfa, but for sure care less about the results either way (the show is about entertainment, that's about it). no matter how it is, i am sure i will read plenty about what went "wrong"
