Exclamation FS: 2008 Lexus GS460 - Matador Red/Black

I am putting my 2008 GS460 up for sale, which I have owned for a touch over three years. I purchased the vehicle from a fellow ClubLexus member in December 2013. I no longer have a use for the car, which is the reason as to why I am selling. The exterior is Matador Red Mica, interior is black with red wood trim complete with the Mark Levinson system, perfect for any audiophile. Quite a handsome combination. The navigation map is from 2012 and is still very up to date in my area. I had the vehicle serviced every 5-10k miles during my ownership. Throughout this time, the notoriously "peeling" drip rails have been replaced, all 4 adaptive variable shocks replaced with OEM units, spark plugs, transmission fluid, lower ball joints, and other general maintenance items. I added the OEM illuminated door sills, the "dealer installed" XM radio option (hard to find), and melting trunk release button. The tires are Continental Control Contact Sport AS and have a good amount of tread left. The CarFax shows minor accident; at some point in time, the passenger side of the vehicle was repainted. The previous owner informed me that his wife had been in a minor side swipe accident. During my ownership, I had the rear bumper painted due to scratches. Do not let this scare you away; this is a very CLEAN and RARE car; less than 2,000 GS460s were ever produced!

The car currently sits at a touch over 101k miles. Asking SOLD - clean, blue title in hand. Serious inquiries only.

Very good looking car!

Are these more popular than 3.5L or hybrid version? Thank you.

These are quite a bit more rare than either the GS350 or GS450h. If you want gobs of power, but also want V8 sounds and don't want to mess around with CVT transmissions and battery packs, this is the car for you.

IMO the 3.5L are a dime a dozen (but freakin awesome for what its worth), and the hybrid is a ticking time bomb since you never know when you'll get slapped with a $5,000 repair bill. Go with the 460 if you want to be one of a kind, 350 if you want to play it safe and 450h if you're a risk taker. lol

I was on the hunt for a 460 for a long time but ended up settling for the 350. For slightly more than the 350 this is definitely worth it

I've owned a 450h and agree that I would rather have a 460.

Thank you, fellas. She has been a wonderful car; I simply don't drive her enough to justify keeping her around. Would like to see another ClubLexus member enjoying it daily.

Of the 55,198 third gen GS's produced between 2008 and 2011, less than 2,000 of those units were GS460s.

https://www.clublexus.com/forums/gs-...our-gs-is.html

342hp, 339lb-ft, 4.6 V8 and 8spd transmission with adaptive variable suspension (GS460/450h standard). If you want worry free power with V8 sounds, the GS460 is the way to go. Albeit a hair slower than the GS450h, it is lighter, has a higher top speed, and doesn't have a hybrid battery that will ultimately need to be replaced (not to mention, more rare)! Yes, the 90k service was performed, although it only consisted of a series of fluid exchanges and spark plugs. No timing belt, as the 460 engine is chain driven. The water pump was replaced earlier on in the vehicle's life as well. On highway runs, I regularly saw 28-30mpg with a light foot. I have pictures to prove this as well. Highest I saw was 31mpg on a drive from Lubbock, Tx to Amarillo, Tx.

This is so much car for the money and quite honestly, makes me sad to sell.
