To be honest I am kind of a tire kicker at this point. That being said though, do you have a build thread or more pictures of it as the build came along? Do you have any cold start, idle, and driving videos? When you mentioned the tune wasn't dialed in basically, why did Freed not do it for you? Who did the majority of the work and was it all under your ownership? Is there any areas of the car you would recommend receiving attention? Are there any noticeable body or beauty imperfections that can't be seen in the pictures? If the buyer was to opt out of the WEDS, what wheels go with the car? Like I said I may be a tire kicker right now, but these are questions most people will ask.

No cold start video, will add later but here's a video of one of the pulls while we were tuning.
Regarding the tune, going ProEFI in MD 3 years ago wasn't the best decision because there was no local tuner for the system. Freed did a great job but the tuner didn't have access to all the features/tables due to not having dealer software.
The body is near perfect. I had the car resprayed OEM IBP. The only issue I would note is that there are holes where the side skirts were previously mounted that show minor rust.
Sound system needs to be rewired due to a bad ground. (buzzing)
BYOW if you don't want the weds. I no longer have stock wheels.
Hope this answers the questions!

Hey guys, figured I would try and contribute to Club Lexus by giving my impressions of this car after seeing it yesterday. The car was local to me and I figured it wouldn't hurt to stop by and take a look. I've been actively looking for a turn key, partially completed project car for several months now and have been disappointed with all that I've seen. Well, until I saw this car. To be clear, my search has been for a GS300 and SC300 as these chassis's offer the room for a guy of my size. I'm still on the fence with the IS chassis but with the build quality of this car, I've already set forth financing options with my bank. Thats how much I like the car!
Exterior:
The paintwork and exterior is a 10 out of 10. Easily could pass as a new car. In my younger days before college, I had the pleasure of working in a body shop as an apprentice for several years. All the lines of each panel are perfect. The tasteful 2-tone paint cut-in is factory quality with perfect edge and seams. I'm surprised the owner didn't take more pics of the exterior to showcase how great the paint is on this car. This is an easy 5k paint job. The paint on the 2 tone wheels are of the same quality and actually a surprise in the way the paint was executed. With my intended budget, I had hoped to negotiate a deal without the wheels but they compliment the car so well, I'm looking for ways to add the feature in the budget assuming financing comes back with enough room to do so. Conclusion: If you like the color, you will like the exterior.
Interior:
Not much to say here. It is extremely clean. Definitely not what I was expecting in a chassis with indicated mileage. To be clear, I've looked at a dozen cars in the past couple weeks, all black interior, all with faults in the leather that didn't convey in their pics. It seems like black interior cars look better in pics then in person. With this car, the interior was near perfect and would easily pass with Lexus's certified standard. The driver seat does NOT even have the stretched butt pocket normally found in Lexus models of its time. All leather is still flat and stretched, matching the contours of the cushions they are installed on. A big plus to me.
Performance:
The swap, engine wiring, and F.I. execution were done 10 out of 10. The engine bay was spotless. Apparently Freed did all the work and it definitely shows a professional installation. Just for reference, I'm not familiar with Freed but everyone I have spoken to raves about them. I was worried about the description regarding the tune. After conversation with the owner, starting the car cold (2 cranks and started right up), and observing the car at idle, the tune was a non concern to me. Apparently, he is referencing additional features like anti-lag etc and high boost mapping. The R154 and clutch combination is very easy to drive. I'd imagine that the car hasn't seen high boost because of clutch selection. With a different clutch behind the built MC R154, this is an easy 700HP car as it sits.
Conclusion: This is definitely a drivers car. All the factory creature comforts are still intact and the modifications make the car exciting to drive and look at. This is a great car!
